Kara Sweet

Kara joined Mercer Advisors in 2023. She is an experienced CPA specializing in tax compliance, licensed in CA and CO. Previously, she was senior tax manager at Forvis, LLP and senior accounting and tax manager for a San Francisco Bay Area-based single-family office. Kara is passionate about helping individuals, families, and small businesses complete tax filings and resolve tax matters. Her goal is to reduce clients’ stress from navigating the complex U.S. tax code so they can focus on their personal goals. She provides solutions to help preserve assets, reduce risk, and minimize tax liabilities. Kara earned her B.A. in business economics with an emphasis in accounting from The University of California, Santa Barbara and her master’s degree in taxation from San Jose State University.
