A wealth advisor focused on you, not on finding new clients.
Your Advisor: 5 Things to Know
-
Getting to know you and your family on a deep level, our wealth advisor is able to pull in the right in-house specialists — financial planner, portfolio consultant, estate planner, tax planner, accountant, insurance specialist, and others — to meet your needs.
The job of this unified team, led by your wealth advisor, is to connect all the dots of your finances, helping to ensure that, for example, your investments and tax strategy are working together, and your estate plan and insurance are aligned with each other and your family’s long-term needs.
-
Many of our wealth advisors and associates at Mercer Advisors are CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals. The CFP® certification is a formal recognition of expertise in the areas of financial planning, taxes, insurance, estate planning, retirement saving, and more.
Becoming a CFP® professional is a difficult and rigorous process. It requires years of experience, successful completion of standardized exams, a demonstration of ethics, and a formal, ongoing education. CFP® professionals are also fiduciaries, obligated to act with your best interest in mind.
-
When providing investment advisory services, financial planning, and other comprehensive services, our advisors do not sell products on commission. Instead, they are providing and delivering advice and are paid a salary and bonus for serving you. It’s a distinctive model that makes serving our clients their top priority.
-
When you express interest in becoming a Mercer Advisors client, you speak with one of our regional vice presidents. It’s their job to introduce you to our company, get to know you and your family’s unique situation and needs, and select an advisor who’s a great fit.
-
Our regional vice presidents match you with a wealth advisor who has experience in areas that align with you and your family’s location, financial situation, and personal preferences. This might include expertise in your professional industry. Or maybe you just want to work with someone with a similar background to yours.
