Sydney Shearer

Sydney has spent a decade in the financial services industry specializing in client service. She has additional expertise in operations and digital marketing. In her client service role, Sydney supports advisors in delivering white-glove service to families and manages a team of service specialists.

Sydney received her Bachelor of Arts in communication in 2013, with a focus on business communication and marketing. She began her career as a marketing specialist in the auto industry but discovered her passion for financial services in 2015 while working for an independent advisor in southern Georgia.

In 2017, Sydney joined Waypoint Capital Advisors in Minneapolis, Minnesota, contributing to its growth as one of the fastest-growing firms in the state. Waypoint Capital Advisors was acquired by Mercer Advisors in 2024.

Sydney resides in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with her husband, daughter, and golden doodle, Dawson. She loves traveling, discovering new places to eat and drink, hosting family and friends, and playing and watching sports.
