Matthews Barnett

Matthews has worked in the financial services industry since 2012. He served on large broker-dealer teams in Atlanta before transitioning to the fiduciary side in 2020. In 2022, Matthews moved back to his hometown of Macon, Georgia, and worked as a Financial Advisor at Day & Ennis before it merged with Mercer Advisors in 2023. Matthews enjoys helping clients reach their financial goals through comprehensive planning. He has CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and is a Chartered Financial Consultant® professional as well as holder of the FINRA Series 65 license. Matthews received a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business. He’s a graduate of the Leadership Macon program of the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, and he serves on the Central Georgia Estate Planning Council and the Financial Planning Association. He’s also a member of the Macon Civic Club. His wife is a Valdosta native and Auburn alum, and they have a son. When not working, Matthews enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, traveling, and going to concerts.
