Charitable Giving for Ukraine Relief
Mercer Advisors
The invasion of Ukraine has prompted an interest in charitable giving. We want to support your compassion and intention to relieve suffering though humanitarian aid. In the case of Ukraine and other crises, you may be making a quick decision in response to an urgent need. For future reference or more general giving, the independent rating sources GuideStar and Charity Navigator serve as useful tools for evaluating non-profit organizations.

Participants in our webinar on charitable contribution strategies emphasize the advantages of “unrestricted” support and mentioned a point now relevant to Ukraine: Unrestricted giving allows charities to be nimble in times of crisis.
As we address how geopolitical events may or may not affect investment portfolios, it’s all in the context of helping to ensure you reach your long-term goals for you, your family, the people you care about, and issues that matter in your life. If you would like to learn more about adding charitable giving as a strategic component of your portfolio, please feel free to reach out to your advisor.
