Brian Smyth

Brian has been analyzing and managing investments for 30 years. He has been an analyst and partner at several private investment funds, including Perennial Research LLC (which he founded). For 17 years he was the director of research and trading at Kingfisher Capital LLC and served on the investment committee. Brian earned his B.A. from the University of Oklahoma, served as an officer in the US Navy, and is a Desert Storm veteran. He earned his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Brian serves as president of the Charlotte SouthPark Rotary Club, president of the Carolina Investment Club (which he founded), and scoutmaster and committee chair at Boy Scout Troop 116, Charlotte. He lives in Charlotte with his wife and two sons.
