Thomas J. Britt

Tom began his financial planning career in 2000. Prior, Tom was an operations supervisor for a Fortune 500 subsidiary for 10 years. He is a proud veteran of the U.S. Naval Submarine Force, serving in the engineering department and as a ship’s diver. In 2007 Tom co-founded Benchmark Wealth Management, LLC before joining Mercer Advisors in 2024. Tom holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation, the Master Planner Advanced Studies designation, an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Master of Science in personal financial planning from the College of Financial Planning. Tom and his fiancé live in Old Lyme, CT and have four adult children. He holds black belts in jujutsu and kick boxing.
